Online Dictionary: dict.org is a publicly available online dictionary - good for spell checking! The links page is an excellent place to look for online dictionaries, including foreign language dictionaries, and good information about free public domain dictionaries. |

Open Office is a FREE office software suite. It is completely compatible with Microsoft Office, and is a viable replacement for Word, Excel, etc. It will open all Microsoft Office documents, and will even save in MS Office format. It can also save in pdf format. We use Open Office on our student server. Open Office.org is available for Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and other operating systems. |

Mozilla Firefox , a FREE download, is a robust and quick web browser that makes an excellent replacement for Internet Explorer. It is available for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. Firefox features tabbed browsing and popup blocking, and is generally faster at loading web pages and surfing the net than Internet Explorer...and without the security vulnerabilities too! |

The Microsoft web site is a good place to go for updates to system software. We recommend using the automatic update feature and installing system updates as they are released. In this age of aggressive computer viruses, Microsoft is constantly discovering vulnerabilities in their Windows operating systems and updating the software to protect your computers. |
